I am very proud of the progress of the Radiology Department throughout my service over the past 35 years. It has been so amazing, challenging and sometimes difficult, but most of all, rewarding me experiences that I will never forget. Thanks to all who made my career journey so memorable. Congratulations, Prof Dr Faisal Rafiq Mahamd Adikan.

Congratulations, Prof Dr Faisal Rafiq Mahamd Adikan for being appointed as the new vice-chancellor of Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM).

The former Universiti Malaya (UM) deputy vice-chancellor (development) will serve for a term of three years beginning Oct 4 this year until Oct 3, 2022.

Prof Faisal Rafiq received his Bachelors in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology, United Kingdom and his master's degree in engineering from UM.

He takes over from Datuk Prof. Dr. Asma Ismail who retires from her position after her three-year term ends Thursday Oct 3, 2019.
