Congratulations to Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), which bagged 49th place in the world by Times Higher Education University Global Impact Ranking 2019 with 84.1 marks.
Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) is the second oldest university in Malaysia and one of the leading universities in the country. USM is the only APEX University in Malaysia, a special status accorded by the Ministry of Higher Education. The APEX's (Accelerated Programme for Excellence) agenda among others is to propel the university to be one of the best institutions of higher learning in the world.
It was a great achievement as nine of Malaysia universities make it to global ‘Best Of Lists’. Altogether, 550 universities from 80 countries across six continents were featured. These rankings focus on the work that universities do to change society for the better, and how they address front line issues such as gender equality, climate change and sustainable communities.
Universiti Sains Malaysia celebrates its 50th Anniversary this year and USM being ranked 49th In The World By Times Higher Education of University Global Impact Rankings 2019. As USM celebrate its 50th Anniversary this year, these achievement are a meaningful recognition of how the efforts for the past 5 decades contributing to the growth of human capital and successful entrepreneurs worldwide.
We are proud of our achievement, and we are also inspired by the innovative approach done by the university to have enabled us to be ranked excellently and we hope this motivates our tertiary education industry to soar higher and farther..... WE ❤ USM.
